In preparation for the move its new, expanded facility at Museum Park, Miami Art Museum will present the first, long-term installation of its growing Permanent Collection in the museum’s largest exhibition space, the 9,000 square foot Upper Level Gallery. P. H. Polk Photographs Capture Ordinary to Extraordinary in Tuskegee
To Make a Picture: The Photography of P. H. Polk from the Paul R. Jones Collection, on exhibit at the Birmingham Museum of Art open through May 23, explores the life’s work of Prentice Herman (P. H.) Polk (1898-1985). Polk was a Bessemer, Alabama native who became one of the most important African-American photographers of the 20th century. The Museum of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society has launched a brand new on-line resource for pupils at Key Stage 3 and 4. Health Histories uses primary source material to allow students to investigate pharmacy history in the 20th century.
