Yorkshire Air Museum Exhibition Celebrates Aviation Pioneers

A new exhibition, Pioneers Of Aviation at the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington, celebrates some of the leading figures in aeronautical history. it includes images, models and displays featuring the history of famous names such as Sir George Cayley and Sir Barnes Wallis.

The Yorkshire Air Museum will soon be the only one in the world to display a live example of the Nimrod military reconnaissance aircraft. Nimrod MR2, XV250 will be flown from RAF Kinloss into Elvington on Tuesday April 13th where it will be maintained in full ground operational capacity as a ‘live’ aircraft.
