Babar the Elephant at the Tyler Museum of Art

The Tyler Museum of Art (TMA) will present the world of Babar the Elephant this summer, June 6 – August 22, 2010. The young and the young at heart will thrill to see these clever collections of original watercolors and studies by Laurent de Brunhoff, author and illustrator of the book Babar’s Museum of Art.

De Brunhoff’s book tells the story of how Babar and his wife Celeste transform an old train station into a fine art museum. Visitors to the Tyler Museum of Art will see the original works of art by De Brunhoff that come to life from the pages of his book. Discover Babar posing inside a masterpiece originally painted by Leonardo da Vinci, Picasso, Paul Cezanne, and even Jackson Pollock.
