The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York has unveiled plans for a comprehensive redesign of the four-block-long outdoor plaza that runs in front of its landmark Fifth Avenue façade, from 80th to 84th Streets in Manhattan. Grand Rapids Art Museum Offers Free Admission Day

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., – The Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM), a leading cultural destination, announced today that it will offer free admission on May 18, 2010 as part of the Association of Art Museum Directors’ (AAMD) celebration of International Museum Day. Participation by AAMD member museums will focus attention on the important roles that art museums serve in their communities, further showcase their remarkable collections, and increase opportunities for audiences to engage with the many educational programs art museums offer.
