The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York has unveiled plans for a comprehensive redesign of the four-block-long outdoor plaza that runs in front of its landmark Fifth Avenue façade, from 80th to 84th Streets in Manhattan. National Motor Museum Leads Lawnmower Land Speed Record Attempt

The National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, Hampshire, UK has led a lawnmower land speed record attempt, named Project RunningBlade.

Rider Don Wales took the petrol driven mower into the record books at Pendine Sands in Carmarthenshire, by reaching 86.069mph. The team have said they will now bid to break the 100mph barrier.

The previous lawnmower land speed record was 80.792mph (130.022km/h) set by Bob Cleveland in at Bonneville Salt Flats, Utah, U.S.

The record attempt raised funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children and Wessex Heartbeat.
