Michael Jackson Museum Planned

Michael Jackson’s father; Joe Jackson is planning to build a museum and possibly a casino, in the late singer’s hometown of Gary, Indiana.

Gary’s mayor, Rudy Clay, said the project would generate up to $150m for the town every year. “This project will be the magnet that will draw people from all over the world,” he said.

City officials have donated 300 acres of land as the site for the Jackson Family Museum and Hotel and the Michael Jackson Performing Arts, Cultural Centre and Theatre.

It is hoped the project, expected to cost $300m, will draw 750,000 visitors a year to Gary, Indiana.
