The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles (MOCA), announced its Board of Trustees has elected new members Charles L. Conlan II, Laurence Graff, and Edward J. Minskoff. In an 18-month period, MOCA has welcomed 17 new trustees, appointed Jeffrey Deitch as director, and continues on a strong financial footing to attract local and international support.

“I am delighted that Charles Conlan, Laurence Graff, and Edward Minskoff are elected to MOCA’s Board at this time. Charles Conlan’s financial expertise and his representation of Wells Fargo are extremely valuable to the museum, in particular to its education programs that Wells Fargo continues to support. Laurence Graff’s commitment to the arts is significant and far-reaching and I am honored and excited to collaborate with him at MOCA. Edward Minskoff’s expertise in real estate and fine art is an invaluable asset for the museum,” commented MOCA Director Jeffrey Deitch.

“We are honored to welcome Charles Conlan, Laurence Graff, and Edward Minskoff to MOCA’s Board,” said MOCA Board Co-Chair David G. Johnson. “With the addition of these influential and committed individuals, MOCA’s Board represents a dynamic and visionary group of leaders in the international art world. Their professional expertise will reinforce the museum’s stature.”

“The support of these remarkable individuals shows great confidence in this world class contemporary art institution with a new and visionary leader at its helm,” said MOCA Board Co-Chair Maria Arena Bell.

The new members of the Board join other recently elected Trustees Peter M. Brant, Lauren King, Tim Leiweke, Nancy Marks, Steven M. Mnuchin, Catherine Opie, Victor Pinchuk, Carolyn Powers, Darren Star, Marc I. Stern, Donald Tang, and Lilly Tartikoff Karatz, and returning Trustees Gil Friesen and Peter Morton, all of whom are active arts patrons and philanthropic leaders.
