Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh Announces G-20 Closings

Museums of Art and Natural History, Science Center, The Warhol to close Sept. 24-25

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh announced that its four museums—Carnegie Museums of Art and Natural History, Carnegie Science Center, and The Andy Warhol Museum—will be closed to the public and most employees on Thursday, September 24, and Friday, September 25, during the G-20 Summit. Any special day or evening programs and activities scheduled for those dates will be canceled.

Normal hours of operation at all four museums will resume on Saturday, September 26. Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh is a collection of four distinctive museums dedicated to exploration through art and science: Carnegie Museum of Art, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Carnegie Science Center, and The Andy Warhol Museum. Collectively, the museums reached more than 1.4 million people in 2008, through exhibitions, educational programs, outreach activities, and special events.
