The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York has unveiled plans for a comprehensive redesign of the four-block-long outdoor plaza that runs in front of its landmark Fifth Avenue façade, from 80th to 84th Streets in Manhattan. Mid America Museum of Aviation and Transportation Grand Opening Set for July 31

The Museum Building at the MidAmerica Museum of Aviation and Transportation has been completed and the Grand Opening set for July 31st.

Rides in a restored World War II B-17 bomber are among special events planned Saturday during the grand opening. Rides in the Bomber will be raffled off at $20 for three tickets.


MidAmerica Museum of Aviation and Transportation

Mid America Museum of Aviation and Transportation (MATAM) an independent, educational non-profit IRS code 501 (c) (3) organization established in 1989 by a small group of museum enthusiasts with the idea and dream of creating a museum in Sioux City to preserve the areas rich transportation and aviation history.

Admission fees are adults $6, seniors and active military $5, children ages 5-14 $3, and age 4 and under free.

Open 9-5 daily except Wednesdays.

MidAmerica Museum of Aviation and Transportation 2600 Expedition Court, adjacent to the Sioux Gateway Airport.

    This museum has an amazing collection of artifacts including planes and antique cars. I hope everyone will stop by and see it. It’s located just a short drive from I-29 next to the Sioux Gateway Airport.
