August 16, 2010 – 5:44 pmNo Comment

St. Michaels – On Saturday evening, September 25, 2010, a fundraising dinner will be held at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St. Michaels, Maryland to benefit the Museum’s educational programming as well as the restoration and preservation of the largest collection of Chesapeake Bay watercraft and historic Bay artifacts.

The fundraising dinner is part of the Fourth Annual St. Michaels Concours d’Elegance weekend of activities.

Dinner participants will have the opportunity to join Concours d’Elegance automobile entrants and enjoy a preview of some of the rare and classic automobiles (1900-1942) to be shown on Sunday, September 26 at the Museum campus.

Live and silent auctions at the event will include items such as luxury vacation stays, art, sculpture, fine dining experiences, and more. Attendees will also be entertained by live jazz and a fashion show.

The evening begins at 6:00 pm with an hour of cocktails on the waterfront campus of the Museum, followed by dinner, music, and the auction.

St. Michaels Concours d’Elegance is a celebration of automotive style and excellence featuring Grand Classic automobiles along with vintage motor boats, art, fashion, and enjoyment. By locating the Concours at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, the event combines automotive history with one of the Chesapeake region’s most celebrated, waterfront destinations.

All proceeds from the event benefit the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Tickets are $150.00 per person and are limited. For tickets or more information, please call Bev Pratt at 410-745-4978 or visit www.smcde.org.
