The Art Museum Partnership 2010 Directors Forum

August 18, 2010 – 6:35 pmNo Comment

New York – The Art Museum Partnership has just released the program for the 2010 Directors Forum conference. Leaders of art museums from across the nation will gather in New York City on Sunday, October 24 – Tuesday, October 26 for an extraordinary program.

No other professional conference offers this singular opportunity. As you will see in the enclosed preliminary program, prominent speakers will delve into a variety of timely subjects for the recession- weary art museum director. The 2010 Directors Forum will begin with an opening dinner at the historic National Arts Club on Gramercy Park. Our keynote speaker is Alanna Heiss, founder of PS1 MoMA and director of Art International Radio. Two full days of informative sessions will follow at distinguished cultural institutions throughout Manhattan including the new home of the Museum of Arts and Design and The Museum at FIT (Fashion Institute of Technology). Participants will also enjoy morning coffee receptions, luncheons, and special evening receptions at prominent art galleries.

The mission of the Art Museum Partnership and its programs is to identify and provide educational opportunities for professional development and sharing information, resources, and collections among nonprofit art museums. These initiatives were established by leaders in the art museum community primarily to benefit the small to medium-sized institutions that represent approximately ninety-percent of the museums nationally. However, larger museums are also encouraged to participate in this vital exchange. For a copy of the program and registration information visit: www.artmuseumpartnership.org
