Cameroon Art Museum Hopes Poster Helps in Audience Building
Mus’Art Gallery also known as the Grass-fields arts museum in Kumbo, Cameroon has released its first promotional poster.
This poster is aimed at encouraging local schools, social groups and families to cultivate the habit of visiting the museum opened in 1996. The poster it is hoped shall positively contributing in building a local audience base for the museum as well as attract tourists.
The museum named in memory of Cameroonian artists Daniel Kanjo Musa and his eldest son John, to preserve wood sculptures by these departed artists. Over the years, Mus’Art Gallery has been expanding to diversify its collection. Over 400 objects are in our permanent collection. These include masks, wood carvings, musical instruments, pottery, basketry, hunting gadgets etc.

An offset print version is planned in the days ahead. The poster is to be distributed to major hotels in the country, travel and tour companies, schools, museums, embassies and consulates, libraries and universities.
