The Nationalmuseum in Sweden opens Gripsholm Castle fFrom Tuesday 15 May until the end of summer, Gripsholm Castle will be open daily from 10 am – 4 pm. The castle, which is celebrating its 475th anniversary, offers something for everyone – from a floor dedicated to a princess, an 18th-century theatre, an armoury and a prison tower to one of the world’s biggest portrait collections. Lady Maryland comes to CBMM October 24 – 29

From Sunday, October 24 to Friday, October 29, come see the ship Lady Maryland – a replica of a Chesapeake Bay 19th century pungy schooner used to carry perishable cargo such as oysters, watermelons, tomatoes, fish, peaches, and grain.

The Lady Maryland now trades in educational programs as part of the Living Classrooms Foundation. For more information, contact Kate Livie at 410-745-4947 or e-mail klivie@cbmm.org.

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is open 10 – 5pm. The cost of admission is $13 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $6 for kids ages 6–17. Museum members and children under six are free. For more information, visit www.cbmm.org or call 410-745-2916.
