Walker Art Center’s Free First Saturday Program in November, Features Performance and Family Sing-Along with Elizabeth Mitchell

October 27, 2010 – 9:43 amNo Comment

Imagination and Innovation, the Walker Art Center’s Free First Saturday event from 10 am-3 pm on Saturday, November 6, features a special family concert with Elizabeth Mitchell. Mitchell, who has gained a passionate following for her folksy, melodious, and sweet-but-not-sugary songs, takes the stage with her partner/husband Daniel Littleton and their daughter Storey for a family sing-along.

Families are invited to spend the day exploring artist Yves Klein’s fascinating world of judo, walls of fire, ceilings of air, and of course, the color blue.

Activities are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 am-3 pm. Gallery admission is free from 10 am-5 pm on Free First Saturday.

Gallery admission is free for everyone on the first Saturday of each month. Families can enjoy live performances, films, gallery adventures, and hands-on art-making from 10 am-3 pm. Activities recommended for ages 6-12.
