Grand Rapids Public Museum Presents BODIES REVEALED

The Grand Rapids Public Museum presents BODIES REVEALED, open November 20, 2010 – May 1, 2011.

In this phenomenal exhibition about the amazing and complex machine we call the human body, more than a dozen full body human specimens and hundreds of organs are respectfully displayed to tell the story of the miraculous systems at work within each of us. With a reverent, academic approach, this display allows people of all ages to more closely observe the skeletal, muscular, nervous, digestive, respiratory, reproductive and circulatory systems, and to absorb information normally reserved only for medical professionals

BODIES REVEALED provides an unprecedented opportunity for learning science, human anatomy, physics and biology. There are comprehensive Teacher’s Guides available for elementary, middle and high school levels with experiential classroom activities aligned to both National Curriculum Standards and the State Academic Content Standards for Michigan. In addition, there is a Post-Secondary Guide for college and adult students.

Educators are invited to attend a FREE After School Special on November 22, 2010 from 4-6 pm. This educator-only preview is the perfect opportunity to view the exhibition and learn how it can support classroom curriculum.
