Dennos Museum Center Hosts Art and the Animal

The Dennos Museum Center is to Host Art and the Animal, SEPTEMBER 18 – DECEMBER 31, 2011.

The Dennos will be the host site for the 2011 Art and the Animal origination exhibition which is the flagship exhibition of The Society of Animal Artists, an organization dedicated to maintaining the highest standards among painters and sculptors who specialize in animal subject matter. The SAA draws upon the artistic talent of over 500 members from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and North and South America. Combining natural history and fine art in creative ways, this annual exhibition is juried by distinguished experts. Art and the Animal has been presented at prestigious art institutions as well as popular tourist destinations including Disney which displayed the exhibition to launch its newest attraction, Animal Kingdom, in 1998. Each annual origination exhibition usually contains around 125 paintings and sculptures.
