Rowan Museum Presents With These Hands – Black History Exhibit

The Rowan Museum opens With These Hands- Black History Exhibit the museum’s latest Black History exhibit on Sunday afternoon, February 13. It will feature handcrafted arts and crafts from local black citizens, past and present. The exhibit will remain through March 27, 2011.

An opening reception will be held in the Messinger Room to honor the Exhibit Sponsors and guests. The Museum will open at one o’clock p.m. on the 13th.

The Museum is open Monday through Friday, ten o’clock a.m. to four o’clock p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, one o’clock p.m. to four o’clock p.m.

The purpose of the Rowan Museum, Inc. is to collect, preserve, research, exhibit, and educate the public about the history of Rowan County and piedmont North Carolina through the use of its properties, programs and collections.
