Boater Safety Course at Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM) April 12 & 13

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum (CBMM) in St. Michaels is offering its first two-day Boater Safety Course for 2011 on April 12 & 13.  The course will be held from 6 to 10 pm each day on the CBMM campus. The course is suited for participants eight years of age and older.
 
Any Maryland boater born after July 1, 1972, is required to have a Certificate of Boating Safety Education, in order to operate a vessel. The certificate is obtained by passing a Department of Natural Resources approved boating safety course, and once obtained; the Certificate is valid for life. Participants completing the course and passing the test will receive this Certificate.

The course is also recommended for anyone looking to become a safer, more experienced boater.
