National Museum of Racing Announces Free Android App

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame has launched a free downloadable application for Android-powered mobile devices.

The new Android app is available for download at no cost in the Android Market on smart phones and all other Android mobile devices, or via the National Museum of Racing’s Web site at

The new app provides users with an easy and effective way to find information on the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame. The app provides many features, including a direct link to the Museum’s full Web site, a way to join our e-mail list, directions to the Museum based on your current location, information on Museum rentals, ways to support the Museum and information on the Hall of Fame, exhibits, education programs and events.

The Android app is the latest in a series of enhancements to the Museum’s interactive offerings. The Museum recently debuted a series of QR “Quick Response” codes, which contain information on the Museum’s Oklahoma Training Track tours, the Saratoga Silks Gift Shop and Museum rentals.

The Museum’s Web site has also been upgraded with a fresh look that includes several new features, including expanded Hall of Fame biographies, a racing blog and links through social media outlets Facebook and Twitter.

The National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame mission is to interpret the history and convey the excitement of Thoroughbred racing in America to the broadest possible audience. The Museum fosters education and understanding of Thoroughbred racing by providing public access to equine art, artifacts, memorabilia, film, video, books and historical archives. The Museum collects, preserves, researches, interprets and exhibits the entire spectrum of Thoroughbred racing, enhanced by interactive displays. Further, the Museum is the Official National Thoroughbred Racing Hall of Fame honoring Horses, Trainers, and Jockeys.
