March 31, 2011 – 10:26 amNo Comment

The Sam Noble Museum is to present Art and the Animal 50th Anniversary Exhibition. April 30 through September 5, 2011.

This beautiful traveling exhibition is selected each year from the works appearing in the annual Art and the Animal international juried show organized by the Society of Animal Artists. This year’s exhibition features more than 100 works of art, selected from the 50th annual exhibition, which premiered at the San Diego Natural History Museum Sept. 4 through Oct. 30, 2010. Only the best animal art is selected for Art and the Animal. Consequently, it is extremely prestigious for artists to have artwork accepted into the exhibition. The Society of Animal Artists is regarded worldwide as the most prestigious artist-membership organization dedicated to the theme of animals in art. Society members come from Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, and South America. The Art and the Animal tour is produced for the Society of Animal Artists by David J. Wagner, L.L.C., David J. Wagner, Ph.D. Curator/Tour Director.
