Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum Closes

The Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum has closed, reports Azcentral.com.

“The Arizona Mining and Mineral Museum closed abruptly over the weekend, ending a favorite destination for schoolchildren and fanning controversy over the building’s future as a centennial museum.

The closure came a month earlier than expected. The building’s new overseer, the Arizona Historical Society, originally said it would shutter the museum at the end of the school year.
