Through more than 40 paintings and a series of previously un-exhibited drawings, the CAC Málaga is offering a survey of one of the most versatile and prolific artists working in Spain today. A champion of beauty and pleasure, Pérez Villalta has been inspired by Ovid’s Metamorphoses to structure the exhibition into four principal themes: Old and New Testament stories, combats and battles, patriarchy and the myth of the artist. A figurative painter, Pérez Villalta’s work draws on a range of disciplines including art history, architecture, music, film and even the fantasy world of Walt Disney.

The CAC Málaga is a cultural initiative of The City Council of Malaga. Its aim is the promotion and dissemination of 20th- and 21st-century visual art. The project is an innovative one within Spain as it combines models of private management with the aims and ideals of public administration.
