Florence B. Dearing Museum Reopens

The Florence B. Dearing Museum in Hartland Township has re=opened, reports the Livingston County Daily Press & Argus.

“The museum reopened May 30 — Memorial Day — with a ribbon-cutting ceremony organized by the Hartland Area Historical Society, which owns the museum.

The museum will be open to the public from 1-3 p.m. Wednesdays and Sundays. There is no fee to view the museum, but donations are welcome.

“We’ve totally revamped the inside of the museum. Parts of it were really a mess,” said Hildy Foley, a trustee who sits on the Historical Society Board of Directors. “It took us two years to get it renovated. It looks pretty darn good.”

The Historical Society led in the volunteer effort to renovate the museum, which is at 3505 Avon St.”
