The top ranking by Trekaroo was based on feedback and rankings from their member families. According to the Trekaroo website: “These museums are setting [the] bar for what it means to create interactive learning spaces that stimulate, fascinate, and entertain kids for hours on end.”

“We are honored to once again be named as a top family travel destination,” said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. “This is a great example of the impact the museum makes each day on the families who visit. These Trekaroo families have been inspired by their visit to The Children’s Museum and are sharing their extraordinary family learning experience. This is at the very heart of The Children’s Museum’s mission to create impactful learning experiences for the entire family.”

This accolade for The Children’s Museum is the latest in a string of top rankings including those created by Parents Magazine, AOL Travel News, Forbes Traveler, and Rand McNally online. The top ranking comes on the heels of opening the new permanent exhibit National Geographic: Treasures of the Earth and the Museum’s record-breaking summer attendance.

The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis is a nonprofit institution committed to creating extraordinary family learning experiences that have the power to transform the lives of children and families across the arts, sciences, and humanities.
