Diana Thater draws you into her ongoing investigations of video in this nine-monitor installation.

Thater, who is based in Los Angeles, has an ongoing interest in the sculptural and abstract nature of space and time. Peonies (2011), which captures a double exposure of several peony blooms, invites you to question the typical narrative forms of video and the capability of analog technology to capture the infinite spectrum of color where digital approximations cannot. Primarily an installation and video artist, Thater is known for both public projects and works for museums and galleries.

Diana Thater is represented by 1301pe, Los Angeles; David Zwirner, New York; and Hauser & Wirth, London.
