Pacific Design Center Announces Jens Praet Fossilized 2.0

September 20, 2011 – 10:42 amNo Comment

Industry announces the opening of its Los Angeles gallery in the Pacific Design Center with an exhibition of Fossilized 2.0: new work by JENS PRAET

The Pacific Design Center presents Jens Praet Fossilized 2.0 an exhibition on view September 22nd – November 11th. Opening: September 22nd 5:00 PM – 8:30 PM.

Jens Praet’s series of limited edition (12 each) furniture pieces are constructed from shredded out-dated magazines and obsolete confidential documents with each design made from a specific title. Each work is handmade and unique because the exact mixture of magazines differs from one piece to the next, affecting the color and appearance. The Shredded Collection originated out of the designer’s concern about sustainability and the amount of waste paper being generated globally.
