Ivor Abrahams Holme Avenue 2011, The Royal Academy

Since 2009, internationally renowned artists have been invited into the RA Schools’ workshops to make new prints alongside some of the most promising postgraduate art students in the country. It is this uniquely stimulating environment and the bringing together of established and emerging artists which makes these artworks so special.

The diverse range of contemporary prints will include three characteristic etchings made in the RA Schools by Tracey Emin RA, a minimal screen print by Gary Hume RA, a more traditional linocut from RA Schools’ Keeper Eileen Cooper RA, and several unique monoprints from esteemed sculptor Phillip King RA. Derek Boshier has produced a suite of six small etchings. The exhibition will also include works by: Ivor Abrahams RA, Guler Ates, Peter Freeth RA, Barton Hargreaves, Vanessa Jackson, Simon Lawson, Mali Morris RA, Suzanne Moxhay, Humphrey Ocean RA, Chris Orr RA, Danny Rolph and Maciej Urbanek.

All works in the exhibition will be available for sale and all proceeds will contribute towards the RA Schools’ endowment fund. The RA Schools was founded with the Royal Academy of Arts in 1768. It is an independent art school that enables students to develop their practice on the only three year full time post-graduate fine art course in the UK. – www.royalacademy.org.uk
