The three-part exhibition series Scenarios about Europe continues with its second scenario presentation. The same ten curators have been invited to make proposals on how to think about Europe from the perspective of the arts and how to implement these projects in various cities between May 2012 and March 2013. Again, each of the curators will get one zone in the building of the GfZK where it is left entirely up to them whether they decide to feature a project by one or by several artists, whether they choose not to show any artworks, or whether they opt for other, rather time-based or discursive formats.

Scenario development is a planning technique used among others in politics and economy. It is based on the analysis of possible future developments and is used to contemplate future strategies. Here, this has been transferred to the field of art.

Szenarios 1, 2, 3 curated by Peio Aguirre, Kit Hammonds, Tone Hansen, Jarosław Lubiak / Joanna Sokołowska / Jarosław Suchan, Filip Luyckx, Markus Miessen / Felix Vogel, Lena Prents, Esra Sarigedik Öktem, Miško Šuvaković, Jun Yang

With Olaf Breuning, Annika Eriksson, Melanie Gilligan, Group ABS, Ane Hjort Guttu, Asako Iwama, Janez Janša / Janez Janša / Janez Janša, Rosa Loy, Agnieszka Kalinowska, Aleksander Komarov, Hannes Schmid, Lincoln Tobier, Dragomir Ugren – www.gfzk-leipzig.de
