As a partner in the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington, D.C., the Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design will partake in one of the most celebrated springtime events by hosting “Fly a Kite!,” an all ages hands-on workshop on Saturday, March 17 from 10 a.m. to noon.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to design and build their own one-of-a-kind kite to fly in the Blossom Kite Festival on March 31, showcasing the creativity of kite makers and skill of kite fliers from across the country through competitions and demonstrations. More information on the Blossom Kite Festival.
The Corcoran’s special workshop will feature a kite expert and provide all necessary materials for a unique kite-building experience. “Fly a Kite!” costs $16 for Corcoran members and $20 for non-members; the fee includes all materials for one kite.
