The new SeaCity Museum in Southampton opens at 1.30pm on 10 April.

The new museum – based in the West Wing of the Civic Centre – is located within Southampton’s Cultural Quarter within easy access of the railway station and city centre car parking and close to the city centre parks. The site, owned by Southampton City Council, became available when Hampshire Police moved to a purpose-built venue in March 2011 (the Magistrates’ Courts having been vacated in 2002). The overall aspiration was to deliver a museum with an estimated capital cost of £15million for the first phase of the project.

Phase 1 of the development contains three main exhibitions:

Gateway to the World
Southampton’s Titanic Story
Titanic the Legend

SeaCity Museum is open 7 days a week, 10am – 5pm including Bank Holidays. It will be closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

To avoid disappointment during opening week, please pre-book tickets by phone on 023 8083 3007
