The Oklahoma City Museum of Art (OKCMOA) announced it will be the recipient of a $150,000 gift from Chesapeake Energy Corporation. The donation marks the first private gift given to the Museum School in its 10-year history and will provide programming support.

The Museum School was initiated as part of OKCMOA’s opening in its downtown location on March 16, 2002. Since its inception, Museum School has offered more than 1,500 classes and camps and has served nearly 14,000 adults and children in the Oklahoma City community. The school facilitates the discovery of and appreciation for the visual arts by providing multiple-week visual arts and art history classes and one-time workshops year-round. Sessions offer a creative outlet for children and adults in the areas of painting, drawing, photography, glassblowing and more. – www.okcmoa.com
