Situations seeks new Producer

Situations is seeking a new producer. Over the past decade, Situations has emerged as one of the most innovative art commissioning and research programmes in Britain.

Situations work is guided by an ardent belief in the potential for art in the public realm to create unforgettable, unexpected and inspiring experiences, to be the beginning of a conversation that changes the way we think about and interact with the world around us.

Situations has challenged conventional assumptions about the time and place of public art from One Day Sculpture, a year-long series of temporary art commissions across five cities in New Zealand (onedaysculpture.org.nz) to Alex Hartley’s Nowhereisland, a nomadic Arctic island and one of the primary public art projects for the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad (nowhereisland.org).
