Grace Kelly once said, “Fairy tales tell imaginary stories. Me, I’m a living person. I exist. If the story of my life as a real woman were to be told one day, people would at last discover the real being that I am.” And that is exactly what visitors will see.

The exhibition immerses visitors in the world of Grace Kelly to discover the life and legacy of the Oscar®-winning American actress and Princess of Monaco through costumes, designer wardrobe pieces, personal letters and memorabilia, film clips, and archival documents collected throughout her life.

“An exhibition that focuses on the depth and breadth of Grace Kelly’s life is an important acknowledgement of her impact on so many facets of the 20th century,” Lisa Tremper Hanover, Director & CEO, James A. Michener Art Museum, said. “Interest in Grace’s compassion, radiance, dignity and individuality has never waned. The Michener Art Museum is eager to honor this spirit.”

Remembering Grace as a woman of style, substance, great beauty and great compassion, the exhibit, From Philadelphia to Monaco: GRACE KELLY – Beyond the Icon, reveals her to be everything we imagine and more.
