Thursday, Dec. 5, 5 to 9 p.m.
Wells Fargo Free First Thursday
Once a month, the Museum stays open late – and admission is free! Enjoy the Museum’s Great Gallery, Charles Simonyi Space Gallery and more from 5 to 9 p.m., courtesy of Wells Fargo. Museum Store and Wings Café will also remain open for the extended hours on this night.

Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 7, 8, 15, 21 and 22, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Bank of America Weekend Family Workshops
December marks the anniversary of Wilbur and Orville Wright’s first airplane flight. Learn about the most famous brothers in the history of aviation and make a model of the Wright Flyer at the First Flight Bank of America Weekend Family Workshop at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Dec. 7 and 8. Workshops continue on Dec. 15, 21 and 22 with Great Gallery Pint-Sized, where you can get acquainted with some of the Museum’s most celebrated planes and make your own miniature exhibit to take home.

Saturday, Dec. 7, 2:30 to 5 p.m.
Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day
The Museum of Flight honors the 72nd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7. Museum Curator Dan Hagedorn and American Fighter Aces Administrative Director JD Wyneken will provide an overview of the Dec. 7, 1941 attack and highlight the aviation-specific issues of that day. From 3:30 to 5 p.m., the Museum will stream memorial events live from the USS Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor in Oahu, Hawaii.
We invite visitors who were alive on Dec. 7, 1941 to share their memories of that day. This program is a joint venture between The Museum of Flight and the Pacific Aviation Museum at Pearl Harbor.

Saturday, Dec. 14, 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
Caspar Babypants Performance
Legendary Seattle musician Casper Babypants, also known as Chris Ballew from The Presidents of the United States of America band, will play a family-friendly, 45-minute set of children’s music beginning at 10:30 a.m.

Saturday, Dec. 14, 11:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Santa’s Landing Party
Get ready for the 11:45 a.m. airplane arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus on Saturday, Dec. 14. The jolly couple will hear children’s wishes in the Museum until 4 p.m., and the galleries will be filled with holiday music by the Boeing Concert Orchestra and the Boeing Band. Outdoor events are free and indoor events are included with Museum admission.

Seattle Meetup Event
Our Universe – Cosmos Screening
The Museum will host a free screening of a selection of Carl Sagan’s Public Broadcasting Network “The Cosmos” episodes, courtesy of the Meetup group, Our Universe Seattle. The program will be introduced by local science experts, who will present on related topics and take audience questions

Thursday, Dec. 26 to Tuesday, Dec. 31, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Winter Family Fun
Gliders, flying snowmen, robots or rockets – what will it be? Join us for winter-themed aerospace and aviation activities during the holiday break.

The Museum of Flight is located at 9404 E. Marginal Way S., Seattle, Exit 158 off Interstate 5 on Boeing Field half-way between downtown Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport. The Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $18 for adults, $15 for seniors 65 and older, $15 for active military, $10 for youth 5 to 17, and free for children under 5. Group rates are available. Admission on the first Thursday of the month is free from 5 to 9 p.m. courtesy of Wells Fargo. McCormick & Schmick’s Wings Café is on site.
