Diana, A Celebration presents the life and humanitarian work of Princess Diana through nine galleries containing 150 objects, including rare home movies and photos, paintings, family heirlooms, personal mementoes, 28 of her designer dresses and her magnificent royal wedding gown. The exhibition is on loan from the Althorp Estate, the Spencer family’s 500 year old ancestral home, where a portion of the items will be returned after the close of the exhibition. The rest of the items will be placed in the custody of Diana’s sons.

The exhibition shares the charm and heart of Diana, letting visitors fall in love with her all over again. Through movies, photographs and objects, witness the transformation of a shy young girl aspiring to be a ballerina to a young princess radiant in her wedding gown complete with a 25 foot train and then again from an adoring young mother to a fashion icon and humanitarian touching the lives of those ravaged by AIDS, leprosy and landmines.

There are still tickets available for a regal reception to celebrate the final day of this inspirational exhibition. Join other daughters of the Queen City for a send-off to the People’s Princess on Sunday, August 17 with a reception, gift bag and a chance to win a free tiara! The send-off reception will have the feel of a royal event fit for a princess and will also celebrate the women featured in the Daughters of the Queen City gallery, a sampling of philanthropic efforts of Cincinnati women from the 1850s-1960s. The reception begins at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 17 followed by a tour of the exhibit at 7 p.m. Reservations are required and are $45 per adult, $20 per child.
