Science, robots, ingenuity take center stage at Union Terminal

Cincinnati Museum Center hosts Cincinnati Mini Maker Faire September 13 & 14

CINCINNATI – Cincinnati Mini Maker Faire is back and this year the event is being hosted at Cincinnati Museum Center, a place of inspiration for current and future makers. Cincinnati Mini Maker Faire will take place September 13 & 14 but you can get your tickets to the free event now!

PrintCincinnati Mini Maker Faire is a community-organized event and is part of the national Maker Faire created by MAKE Magazine. MAKE describes the event as “the greatest show (and tell) on Earth – a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity and resourcefulness, and a celebration of the Maker movement.”
“We’re thrilled to be hosting the Cincinnati Mini Maker Faire this year,” says Douglass McDonald, President and CEO of Cincinnati Museum Center. “Union Terminal was built by innovative makers in the 1930s and continues to inspire new generations of makers today. We are committed to inspiring people’s creativity and creating lifelong learners and Mini Maker Faire will allow us to take that mission to a whole new level with this event.”
The event will bring together amateur and professional inventors, artists, crafters, chemists, authors and performers. There will be large spectacles as well as focused workshops and communal interactive experiences. Indie craft show Crafty Supermarket has assembled over 20 vendors as part of a mini market where guests can shop for handmade items to take the experience home with them.
“This year we find ourselves in a location with tremendous historical significance for the maker movement,” says Cincinnati Mini Maker Faire founder Jason Langdon. “Cincinnati Museum Center shares our mission of providing a forum for discovery, creativity and invention, so we anticipate one incredible party.”
With the ingenuity, skill and imagination of new inventors, this year’s Cincinnati Mini Make Faire will feature explosive and awe-inspiring exhibits. Over 30 Makers of all ages and backgrounds will be showing off their gadgets and inventions including:
