The interactive and spontaneous performance is an innovative interpretation of Tobin’s multiple sculptures. Dancers will create a series of improvisational dance pieces in response to Tobin’s work, which features his epic sculptures in bronze and steel. The performance is free and takes place in the Outdoor Sculpture Garden (weather permitting) with a rain date on Sunday, September 28.

MM2, under the direction of Steven Weisz, has established itself as an incubator, providing support, space and opportunities for new emerging dance artists who wish to explore the choreographic process, and to cultivate and introduce new work to new audiences. The company is committed to creating and performing a new body of work each year, fostering Philadelphia’s growing modern and contemporary dance audience. MM2 strives to educate, advocate, support and promote artistic vitality in the region.
