Cincinnati Museum Center looking for everyday heroes making an impact in the lives of children

. October 11, 2016

CINCINNATI – Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) has extended the nomination deadline for the ninth annual Duke Energy Children’s Museum Difference Makers Awards. Nominations for those individuals, groups and organizations making a difference in the lives of children are due October 23.

The Difference Makers Awards recognizes those people who work to make a difference in the lives of children and the communities in which they grow, learn and play. We want to honor the unsung heroes – the grandmothers and foster parents, the teenagers and budding child advocates – along with the business and professionals who make the Greater Cincinnati region a better place for children.

CMC has already received some incredible nominations but we know there are so many more making an impact in the community and we want to make sure they have an opportunity to be recognized. So help spread the word of their good deeds and nominate them for a Difference Makers Award.

We are accepting nominations in the following categories:
• Youth – under 18 years of age
• Adult Volunteer – unpaid individuals
• Adult Professional – paid professional
• Business – for-profit organization
• Non-profit Organization
• Youth & School Group

Nominating someone is easy. Visit to find the nomination form and submit your nomination online. Help us share the deeds of these real life superheroes!

Nominees will be recognized for their hard work and dedication at the ninth annual Difference Makers Awards. During the event, we’ll share the nominees’ inspiring stories and celebrate the strides they’ve taken to better the lives of the children in the Greater Cincinnati region. Nominees will be able to meet their fellow Difference Makers during the family-friendly event and encourage others to become further engaged in their community.
