Michener Art Museum Offers Half-Price Admission Special for June

DOYLESTOWN, PA – The James A. Michener Art Museum, a cultural institution in Doylestown, PA, dedicated to collecting, interpreting, and exhibiting American art, is offering half-price general admission during the month of June. General admission tickets are available online or at the museum; the special offer begins on Thursday, June 1 and continues through Friday, June 30. Charles Sheeler: Fashion, Photography, and Sculptural Form show, as well as galleries that showcase our Pennsylvania Impressionist paintings, work by George Nakashima, and other highlights from our permanent collection.”

The Michener Art Museum, which opened in 1988 on the historic site of a former prison, was recently named “One of the 25 Best Galleries or Museums in America” by the American Art Awards. Each year, the museum welcomes 135,000 visitors from around the world. Parking is free, and lunch is available from the Terrace Café, which overlooks the outdoor sculpture garden.

Currently on view at the Michener Art Museum are several permanent exhibitions, including the Lenfest Collection of Pennsylvania Impressionism, the Nakashima Room, and the outdoor sculpture garden, as well as three special exhibitions: Charles Sheeler: Fashion, Photography and Sculptural Form (on view through July 9), Light & Matter: The Photographic Object (through June 25), and Myths and Nature: Early Prints by Sam Maitin (through August 27). The Michener also presents daytime and evening lectures, gallery talks and tours, concerts, films, family programs, art classes, and summer camps. The half-price admission special does not apply to programs, tours, special events, classes, or camps.
