Embracing New Audiences: CAC Announces New Communications Director, Joshua Mattie

CINCINNATI – We’re happy to announce our new Communications Director, Joshua Mattie. Joshua permanently stepped into the role after serving as Interim Communications Director for 8 months. In recent years, the CAC has experienced tremendous growth in our audience and engagement. In this new role, Mattie will carve out a path to fully embrace this expansion, leading the creative force behind sharing the CAC mission to open minds and bring art and the creative process to all people.

“Over the years Josh has worked tirelessly to take the CAC’s mission and diverse offerings to the widest audience,” says Alice and Weston Harris Director, Raphaela Platow. “Much of the way we communicate with the public has evolved under Josh’s guidance. The recent innovations of the Communications staff have introduced countless new patrons to the CAC – bringing with them exciting opportunities we are poised to leverage.”

Through his many roles within the institution–from Designer to Digital Content Manager to Interim Communications Director–Joshua has identified and explored unique ways to communicate with the public about the dynamic exhibitions and programming of the CAC. He has been the singular constant for the Communications department; carrying the institutional wisdom, and training the evolving team to best support our overarching goals. As Communications Director, he will use that strategic thinking and distinct insight to bring the institution and our mission to even greater heights.
