LEGO® creations join trains and Santa at holiday experience at Cincinnati Museum Center

CINCINNATI – Cincinnati Museum Center (CMC) has officially kicked off the holiday season with the opening of Holiday Junction featuring Brickopolis. CMC’s annual holiday experience is back with fan favorites and new additions sure to delight families this season. Holiday Junction featuring Brickopolis is open through January 2, 2018.

Wonder, joy and merriment will cover 12,000 square feet of CMC’s special exhibition gallery. Fan favorites like Thomas the Tank Engine and his friends, the Super-O interactive layout and Lionel layouts from the 1930s and 1940s will return this year. In addition to a variety of train layouts of different sizes and themes, the riding train will be back, letting riders chug along through a winter wonderland.

In addition to favorites from holidays past, Holiday Junction featuring Brickopolis will include a blizzard of bricks crafted into custom LEGO® creations courtesy of the Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana LEGO Users Group (OKILUG ). LEGO landscapes will feature motorized trains, whimsical scenes with local flavor, a bustling metropolis of minifigs and a merry amount of surprises tucked into 940,800 square studs of the pixelated wonderland.

And, of course, Santa arrives Friday, November 24, ready to listen to the wish lists of kids big and small.

“I can’t help but feel jolly when I see families come back year after year to share this experience together,” said Santa Claus, chief cheer officer for Cincinnati Museum Center. “I’ve been all around the world hundreds of times but there’s no place I look forward to visiting more than Cincinnati and Cincinnati Museum Center. Ho ho hope to see you there!”

Holiday Junction featuring Brickopolis is open through January 2, 2018 and is free for CMC Members. For more information, visit cincymuseum.org/holiday-junction.
