Families invited to learn photography skills at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

. November 14, 2017

On Saturday, Jan. 20, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is inviting guests to its St. Michaels campus for a Family Photography Workshop from 1 to 2:30 p.m. The workshop is based around CBMM’s black-and-white photography exhibition, Robert de Gast’s Chesapeake, which is on display in the Steamboat Building through April.

Families will be able to explore the work of Robert de Gast to learn some of the photographic principles that make his images so captivating, and take their own de Gast-inspired pictures using their smartphones or cameras on CBMM’s campus.

This workshop is perfect for families of all sizes, with registration required. The cost per CBMM member is $5, and $8 per non-member. Accompanying younger siblings 5 and under are free. All participants must register in advance at bit.ly/FamilyPhotography_Jan2018
