. April 27, 2018

CINCINNATI, OH – The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center has announced the appointment of Ron DeLyons to its board of directors.

Ron DeLyons is a business and finance executive with over 30 years’ experience as an entrepreneur and has successfully founded, developed, invested in and sold several private companies; many of which were minority business enterprises.

“We are excited to have Ron join our board,” says board chair, Rev. Damon Lynch, Jr. “His business experience, as well as his contributions to the community, will provide valuable insight in the continuing growth and success of the Freedom Center.”

Mr. DeLyons is CEO and managing principal of Creekwood Energy Partners, LLC, and its affiliate Creekwood Capital Partners, LLC. He is responsible for day-to-day management of the firm and his responsibilities include business development, deal structure and financing. Prior to leading Creekwood, Mr. DeLyons served as co-founder and CEO of Greystone Investment Management, LLC, a private client wealth management firm located in Cincinnati. He led the carve-out of an existing money management team and its integration into Greystone and sold his interest in 2003 when the firm had over $300 million in assets under management. Prior to forming Greystone, Mr. DeLyons served as chairman of Allegis Investment Management, Inc., an investment firm specializing in business and asset management advisory services for athletes and entertainers in Los Angeles, California. He sold Allegis to a Denver-based money management firm and assisted with its integration into the purchaser’s portfolio of assets.

“The Freedom Center; while located in Cincinnati, is truly one of our nation’s most precious gems. It is uniquely positioned to shine a light on the dark legacies of our past while promoting the difficult dialogue necessary for a brighter future,” says DeLyons. “I am honored to join the board of directors to promote and support this institution as it executes its vital mission.”
