Museum of Natural Curiosity Breaks ground at Thanksgiving Point

The Museum of Natural Curiosity broke ground on Oct. 1, 2012. This marked the start of construction on the 45,000-square-foot building that is scheduled to open in spring 2014. This innovative museum will feature more than 150 exhibits to teach arts, sciences, history and culture to hundreds and thousands of families. Five main exhibit areas will encompass the museum: Rainforest, Waterworks, Kidopolis, Children’s Discovery Garden, and Traveling Exhibits.

Exhibits are designed by ROTO Studios (Columbus, Ohio) known for its award-winning designs worldwide in museums, science centers, zoos, aquariums, corporate and entertainment facilities. The project architect is FFKR Architects, and the general contractor for building and site construction is Okland Construction—both local companies from Salt Lake City, UT.
