Garvies Point Museum announces Forensic Geology Exhibit

On June 23rd, Garvies Point Museum will be unveiling our new exhibit featuring “Forensic Geology.” At 1 pm, join Dr. George J. Allgaier’s discussion on how, when, and where unusual rock formations form. Oxford University and Lausanne Museum of Zoology announce project to examine Yeti DNA

A new collaboration between Oxford University and the Lausanne Museum of Zoology will use the latest genetic techniques to investigate organic remains that some have claimed belong to the ‘Yeti’ and other ‘lost’ hominid species. The Houston Museum of Natural Science has announced it’s new Hall of Paleontology is to open on June 2. The new hall is packed with prehistoric beasts, and will not have the same stagnant displays of ancient skeletons standing in a row that many visitors are accustomed to seeing. Yosemite National Park Installs Yosemite Falls Webcam

A webcam has been installed at Yosemite Falls in the Yosemite National Park by the National Park Service and Delaware North Companies Parks & Resorts at Yosemite, the Yosemite Falls webcam is the fourth supported by the Conservancy and the first to offer a view of a Yosemite waterfall. Atlanta Botanical Garden Awarded $2.5 Million Gift from the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation

The Atlanta Botanical Garden has been awarded a $2.5 million gift from the Robert W. Woodruff Foundation for the development of Smithgall Woodland Garden in Gainesville, Georgia.
