		<title>LACMA Receives $75,000 for Film Program</title>
		<description><![CDATA[The Hollywood Foreign Press Assn has announced at a special luncheon that it is donating $75,000 to the The Los Angeles County Museum of Art to support it&#8217;s film program.
LACMA had announced that it would be ending its weekend screening series for budgetary reasons. But the museum reversed its decision following a public outcry and pressure from prominent filmmakers including Martin Scorsese.

		<title>Crystal Bridges To Loan Major Works by Parrish, Rockwell</title>
		<description><![CDATA[BENTONVILLE, Ark., – Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art will share important works of art by America’s most beloved artist-illustrators with the Toledo Museum of Art. Maxfield Parrish’s lyrical nocturne The Lantern Bearers (1908), originally created as a frontispiece for the December 10, 1910 issue of Collier’s magazine, and Norman Rockwell’s Rosie the Riveter (1943), an iconic representation of the American work ethic that provided the May 29, 1943 cover of the Saturday Evening Post, will go on display in Toledo beginning August 17.

		<description><![CDATA[The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH), announced the acquisition through gift and purchase of more than 160 works from the exceptional private decorative arts collection of Leatrice and Melvin Eagle, collectors based in Potomac, Maryland.
The Eagle Collection represents artwork from the 1940s to today with strength in ceramics by West Coast artists, but also encompasses fiber art, furniture, glass, jewelry, metalwork, sculpture, and works on paper.
