Natural History Museum Butterfly Explorers Exhibition

London’s Natural History Museum’s “Butterfly Explorers” exhibition opens Apr 8 through Sep 26 2010, featuring examples of butterflies from all over the world offering visitors the chance to learn how they live in different climates.

Four different habitat zones will be represented in the Butterfly Explorers display: South America, North America, Asia and Africa. Visitors will also be able to peer through hatchery windows to see pupae and emerging butterflies.

The exhibition shows the diverse habitats of butterflies around the world and their behaviour and life cycles. The event is part of the worldwide celebrations of the International Year of Biodiversity
