Fundraiser to Benefit The Children’s Museum in West Hartford

The Travelers Companies, Inc., is this year’s presenting sponsor for the primary annual fundraiser to benefit The Children’s Museum in West Hartford. With a commitment from Travelers of $20,000 leading the way, the annual gala, called A Child’s World, serves as the Museum’s primary fundraising activity. All funds raised support science and nature education and outreach programs. The evening includes science and nature presentations and popular live and silent auctions featuring valuable recreation and travel packages, spirits, artwork, jewelry, sports equipment and a variety of donated luxury items. The event is co-hosted by Newscasters Kara Sundlun and Dennis House from WFSB Channel 3.

“This is a popular, fun and critical fundraising activity for The Children’s Museum, which provides an exceptional learning experience for children throughout the state,” said Kevin Sullivan, president and CEO of The Children’s Museum. “Even in these difficult economic times, we continue to offer an invaluable resource for kids and their families, schools, Boys and Girls Clubs, groups serving under-privileged youth, and many other organizations. We are especially grateful to Travelers for being a lead partner in our efforts to continue supporting science and nature learning for children and families throughout this region.”
