Overton, Nev. – The Lost City Museum presents “Southwest Interpretation” an exhibit by the Mesquite Watercolor Artists October 1 through October 31, 2010.
The Mesquite Watercolor Artists have a diverse background in the use of differing artistic media including pottery, sculpture, collage, pen, ink and oils. Each of these areas will be represented in this month-long show.
Under the direction of Charlotte Lang, the group has been meeting weekly to discuss established and new techniques in the artistic world.
“As the season’s change, beautiful art work is a great reminder of long, memorable summer days and cool, colorful spring afternoons,” says Lang.
“Inspiration for the artists comes from a variety of sources including the beautiful magenta hues of an outstanding sunset to the subdued shades of brown in the dusty earth. There will be something in this show for the art lover in everyone to enjoy and marvel at,” says Jesse Davie of the Lost City Museum.
