The Burke Museum will present an exhibition, Salmon in the Trees, open November 2, 2010 – February 13, 2011in The Burke Room.
Salmon in the Trees tells the story of the Tongass National Forest in Alaska, a place where bears, bald eagles, wild salmon, and people thrive in a rich cycle of life that has existed for millennia. This exhibit features 15 large-format photographs by Amy Gulick from her book, Salmon in the Trees: Life in Alaska’s Tongass Rain Forest.
The Burke Room is a multi-purpose room with occasional limited access. Call 206-616-3962 for event scheduling in advance of your visit if you are coming specifically to see this display.
